Yobe will be better under APC-controlled Federal Government – Geidam

Yobe state governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Geidam has said that, his administration will partner with the APC controlled Federal Government to bring about the much needed change in line with the Party’s principles, programmes and manifesto.

Geidam who was speaking on Friday during his inauguration for the second term in office also said that henceforth, government will make deliberate effort to align its policies and programmes to that of the Federal Government in order to benefit maximally from the dividends of democracy coming from the Centre.

“​I wish to further stress that we will at all times respect, cooperate with and fund the other two arms of Government in the State, viz-aviz the Legislature and the Judiciary to enable them discharge their constitutional duties so that our citizens will continue to enjoy the fruits of good governance.

” It is our conviction that effective and efficient justice system is sine-qua-non to a stable and programmes polity which we are trying to build. In this respect, the Ministry of Justice and the Judiciary will continue to be provided with their requirements to enable them play crucial roles in upholding the rule of Law which is indispensable to the creation of a conducive atmosphere for economic growth and development.

“We will equally partner with the Local Government Councils in the State in the execution of joint projects to avert duplication and waste. ​We in Yobe State always cherish the principles of good neighborliness, peaceful coexistence and level of interaction between us and our neighbours which have been wide ranging, productive and mutually rewarding. “
