A former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to say the truth about defeat of the insurgent group, Boko Haram.
Fani-Kayode said this in reaction to controversies surrounding missing girls from Government Girls’ Secondary School, Dapchi, in Yobe State.
The girls were abducted when suspected Boko Haram insurgents attacked the school.
DAILY POST had reported that 48 out of the 94 missing girls have been rescued.
Another report had it that other girls were rescued by the army on Wednesday night at Jilli-Muwarti, a border village between Gaidam in Yobe state and Borno State.
Buhari has however ordered three ministers to visit Yobe to put an end to the security threats.
However, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain has accused Buhari government of trying to cover up the kidnap case of the missing girls.
He disclosed in a series of tweets that “There is only one thing more reprehensible than the kidnapping of 94 beautiful and innocent young girls from Govt. Girls Science and Tech. Secondry School, Dapchi, Yobe state by Boko Haram on Monday and that is the shameful attempt by the Buhari admin. to cover it up.
“The school have confirmed that the girls have gone missing but the Fed. Govt. does not want the world to know the truth because it proves that they have failed to stop Boko Haram.
“How cruel can Buhari be? These are just CHILDREN! ADMIT they have been kidnapped and FIND them!”
