Ivorian midfielder, Yaya Toure’s agent, Dimitri Seluk, who has been verbally attacking Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola’s for refusing to field his client this season, has said the coach loves money more than football.
Seluk noted that when Toure left Barcelona for Man City 2010, Guardiola said he was leaving for a ‘shit team.’
He claimed that Guardiola had told the attacking midfielder when he was about to sell him to Man City in 2010 that he was leaving to go to a worthless team.
Guardiola had on Tuesday told a press conference that Toure would play for the Citizens again only when he and his agent come low to apologise for an unpleasing statement made by the agent against him.
Seluk, yesterday reacted by telling the former Bayern Munich handler that he can say whatever he likes, while listing some persons the Spaniard also owe apology.
It is clear that by Seluk’s refusal to tender the apology, Toure, who earns £226k per week won’t play for the next 8 months at Man City until his contract expires.
Seluk said, “When Toure left the club to come to City, Guardiola told him he was leaving to a shit team.
”Now, Guardiola has come to this shit team. Guardiola likes money more than football.”
