Former Kaduna lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has proposed a plan for Nigerians who will be repatriated from South Africa.
Following Xenophobia attacks on Nigerians , there has been plans to repatriate some Nigerians from South Africa
DAILY POST reports that Nigerians and other nationals in South Africa were on Sunday asked to leave immediately.
Residents of hostels in eastern Johannesburg marched along Jules Street in the area, demanding that “foreigners must go back to where they came from”.
Sani, speaking on the development proposed that the President Muhammadu Buhari led government should provide support to Nigerians returning home.
The former lawmaker, however, kicked against the government proposing ‘trademoni’ empowerment scheme as compensation for them.
On his Twitter page, Sani wrote: “The Federal government should make adequate arrangements and give reasonable support to Nigerians who decided to return home and begin a new life.
“Please don’t even think of linking them up with Vice President tradermoni 10k..biko!”
