Some Super Eagles stars have lent their voices to the unprovoked attack on Nigerians living and doing business in South Africa.
Midfielder, John Ogu, former Carl Ikeme and Brighton and Hove Albion defender, Leon Balogun all spoke out against the attacks.
The former Mainz defender took to his twitter page to condemn the attacks, saying, “Together we stand, divided we fall! I’m praying for UNITY” with the hashtags #saynotoXenophobia. #WeAreOne
Carl Ikeme wrote, “This is crazy ! This has to stop !”
John Ogu, “This is totally Unacceptable. #SAYNOTOXENOPHOBIA.”
Meanwhile, the South Africa Football Association (SAFA) has replaced Zambia with Madagascar as Bafana Bafana’s friendly opponents.
Zambia pulled out of the international friendly against Bafana Bafana due to concerns over their security in the wake of the recent Xenophobic attacks in South Africa .
