Federal Capital Territory Commissioner of Police, Musa Kimo, has warned individuals and groups against indulging in acts that will result in the destruction of property and cause a breakdown of law and order in the nation’s capital.
Kimo, only a few days ago took over from CP Mohammed Mustafa.
His warning came at the wake of the invasion of the office a telecommunication service provider, MTN at Maitama District, by some Nigerians on Thursday.
The commissioner’s reaction follwed an enquiry by DAILY POST to ASP Anjuguri Manzah, FCT Police Public Relations Officer.
The spokesman in a statement made available to our correspondent expressed the CP’s condemnation of the attack.
He reiterated that while the Police as the custodian of law and order would remain professional in the discharge of its primary duty of the protection of lives and property, it “will not hesitate to apply the appropriate sections of the law in the prosecution of those arrested for causing the breakdown of law and order.
“The public is, therefore, enjoined to always adopt civil and legitimate channels in registering grievances instead of resorting to self-help and causing security breach”.
