World Cup 2018: What Nigeria must do to beat Iceland – Amuneke

Former Nigerian international, Emmanuel Amuneke has advised Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr and the team to change their style of play when they take on Iceland in Friday’s World Cup 2018 match.

He warned that a poor performance at the 45,000- capacity Volgograd Arena may end Nigeria’s participation at the tournament.

“The players should know it is a must-win for them”, Amuneke told New Telegraph.

“We all agreed that the opening game was not a good one for Nigeria.

“Maybe the players went into the game with too much confidence believing that they were going to win and that should be a big lesson to them ahead of the Iceland tie.

“They should know that if they must remain in Russia, they have to get the maximum points. They have to change their style of play, their mentality and also their approach to the game.“
