World Cup 2018: What Arsene Wenger said about Chelsea’s Kante after France beat Belgium

Former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has lauded Chelsea midfielder, N’Golo Kante for his display in France’s 1-0 win over Belgium in the World Cup semi-final encounter played on Tuesday night.

Kante has been one of French’s key performers at the ongoing 2018 World Cup and the 27-year-old impressed once again by stopping Belgium’s attacking threat.

Wenger has praised Kante’s for his performance against Belgium.

“Kante is an example for all the young players who wanted to become a professional,” Wenger told beIN Sports.

“He was rejected by clubs early on, he has had it hard. He persisted.

“Even in the 85th minute, you feel like he’s just come out of the bath. He’s still so fresh.”

Kante will now hope to lead the Les Blues to victory when they face the winner between England and Croatia in the World Cup final on Sunday.
