World Cup 2018: ‘Say what you want’ – Aguero hits Argentina coach after 3-0 loss t

Argentina striker, Sergio Aguero has hit out at his coach, Jorge Sampaoli following the defeat 3-0 to Croatia on Thursday evening.

Argentina now has slim chance of making it to the round of 16 of the tournament after they were thrashed by Croatia in Nizhny Novgorod.

After the defeat, the coach revealed that their decision and his failure to find a tactical system that gets the best out of his squad and their talisman Lionel Messi made them lose the match.

When told by a reporter that Sampaoli had suggested that the players failed to adapt to his “project”, Aguero replied, “Let him say what he wants.”

The Manchester City forward refused to answer any further questions and walked away.

Ante Rebic capitalised on goalkeeper Willy Caballero’s mistake to put Croatia ahead with a superb effort.

Luka Modric doubled Croatia’s lead with 10 minutes remaining following a fine strike on the edge of the area, while Ivan Rakitic put the game against the South Americans with his goal in injury time.
