Portugal captain, Cristiano Ronaldo has remained coy on whether he will retire from international football following their exit from the 2018 World Cup.
The 33-year-old failed to find the back of the net as they lost 2-1 to Uruguay on Saturday.
Ronaldo’s long-term rival Lionel Messi also crashed out on the very same day.
Both Ronaldo and Messi would be 37 and 34 respectively, when the next World Cup comes around, and it is yet unclear whether they will still be a part of their country’s international set-up at this time.
When asked about his future, Ronaldo told reporters: “It’s not the time to talk about the future, when it comes to the players and coach
“This team will continue to be one of the best in the world, with quality players, a young group, united.
“I am confident and happy because this team will always fight with all their strength.”
