Coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr has revealed the roles captain John Obi Mikel and Chelsea wingback Victor Moses will play against Argentina on Tuesday.
In the last game against Iceland, the Franco-German changed the role of the two players, fielding Mikel as a defensive midfielder from his usual offensive role and bringing Moses back to the right-back.
Rohr has revealed both stars will continue that way when they come against Jorge Sampaoli on Tuesday.
”Victor Moses is fit, he is very committed also, he is working hard in training since four weeks,” Rohr told told press conference at Saint Petersburg on Monday.
”He had a week holiday more than the other ones because he finished late, the final of the FA Cup and he’s playing now in the same position he does for Chelsea which is interesting for our team, we had also the same change in Obi Mikel.’
”They have to do now like they do for their clubs, they can do defensive work and also sacrifice for the team and for the country.
”All the time, each player wants to play offensively especially when they come to the country, but they do the dirty work sometimes for the team which is a good sign for the team.
”It is a plus for us and I hope tomorrow they will do it again,” he added.
