A former captain of the Super Eagles, Nwankwo Kanu, has reacted to Nigeria’s 2-0 win over Iceland in their World Cup second game on Friday.

Two superb goals from Leicester City star, Ahmed Musa, were all the West African giants needed to see off their opponents in Russia.

The win also boosts Nigeria’s chances of making it to the knock out stage depending on the outcome of the last group matches.

Reacting to the win, Kanu on Twitter wrote, “I thank God for the victory.

“I came and did my part as Nigeria football ambassador seeing them before the game.

“The Super Eeagles we are proud of you all and thank you all.”
