World Cup 2018: Isco finally breaks silence on Spain’s elimination

Spain midfielder, Francisco Román Alarcón Suárez, popularly known as Isco has finally commented on the elimination of his country from the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Spain was knocked out from this year’s tournament through penalties shootout by hosts, Russia in the round of 16 on Sunday.

The La Rojo had led Group B on their way to the last sixteen of the 2018 World Cup but were far from convincing during their clashes with Portugal, Morocco and Iran.

Reacting on Spain’s World Cup exits, Isco posted on Instagram: ”But this is football and it doesn’t stop, life doesn’t stop.

“It’s time to get up as we have always done and show pride in defending our country.”

The Real Madrid star found support from a number of colleagues and former players, and the most notable was Alvaro Arbeloa who praised the midfielder’s work. ”You’ve been the best, bro, just get rested,” he replied.
