LA Galaxy striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has hailed Sweden’s performance at the 2018 World Cup, stating that, “every player should get a Golden Ball in Sweden.”
Sweden’s run ended on Saturday, when they were beaten 2-0 by England in the quarterfinals.
But their former captain, Ibrahimovic, writing on Twitter, stated that Janne Andersson’s side had enjoyed a memorable tournament.
“Every player should get a Golden Ball in Sweden.
“What they did will be remembered forever. Thank you for the show,” he wrote.
Sweden’s defeat also meant Ibrahimovic lost a bet with David Beckham, meaning he must watch an England game at Wembley with him.
