World Cup 2018 finals: Mbappe speaks tough, says France will ‘kill’ themselves on pitch

Paris Saint-Germain and France forward, Kylian Mbappe has said that the Didier Deschamps’ men will ‘kill’ themselves to finish the job in the 2018 World Cup final when they face the winner between England or Croatia on Sunday.

The 19-year-old said this after France beat Belgium 1-0 in the semi-final encounter played on Tuesday night.

A header from Barcelona’s Samuel Umtiti in the second half against the Roberto Martinez’s side was all the Les Blues needed to reach the World Cup final.

But Mbappe, who produced an outstanding display as France edged a tight World Cup semi-final against Belgium, said the Deschamps’ side will give everything in the final to emerge winners.

“I want the World Cup. I want to sleep with it,” Mbappe told TF1 after France beat Belgium.

“I wasn’t born in 1998, so I have never seen people on the Champs-Elysees celebrating.

“I am going to give everything in this final. We will kill ourselves on the pitch to finish the job.”
