Liverpool, Croatian defender, Dejan Lovren has declared that the Vatreni will go for the win in their last group game against Iceland at the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday.
Croatia are already through to the round of 16 of the tournament after recording wins over Nigeria and Argentina in their opening two Group D games.
But the Reds’ defender insisted they are aiming to win the group with nine points.
“Coach (Zlatko) Dalic has created an excellent atmosphere around the team,” Liverpool star, Lovren said during a press conference in Roshchino.
“He knows how to communicate with us individually. Everything is great and we just have to continue. The game against Iceland? Our goal is clear: complete the group stage with nine points.”
Croatia have won four of their last six games against Iceland, losing one and drawing one.
