Work for Ambode, APC’s success – Akiolu urges Lagos guber aspirants

The Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwanu Babatunde Akiolu 1 has appealed to all the All Progressives Congress, APC, members in Lagos State to ensure victory for the party in 2015.

He also urged them to ensure peace and harmony of Lagos State and Nigeria in general.

Speaking to journalists at his palace in Lagos, Oba Akiolu enjoined the aspirants, who contested in Thursday’s Governorship primaries to work for the eventual winner, Akunwunmi Ambode.

According to him, “It is not a do- or-die affair. All the candidates that lost the primaries yesterday are members of the same family, they are all my children.

“I have told the APC Governorship primary winner in Lagos, Akinwunmi Ambode to embrace and work with everybody. We have started recording the victory.”

Oba Rilwanu Akiolu praised the current Governor of Lagos State, Raji Fashola saying “he has done his best and we are happy. He made the people to understand that he is not a rubber stamp governor and he has not been influenced by any anyone”.
