The United States of America beat England 2-1 on Tuesday, to reach the final of this year’s Women’s World Cup in France.
All the goals were scored in the first half, of what was a keenly anticipated semi-final.
Christen Press opened scoring for the Americans, before Ellen White equalized in the 19th minute.
Alex Morgan then netted what proved to be the winner 14 minutes before the break.
Phil Neville’s women had the chance to draw level again, but Steph Houghton’s weak spot kick was easily saved, before Millie Bright was shown a second yellow card.
USA will play either Sweden or Netherlands in the final.
