Woman rescued by police after crushing 8 persons to death in Lagos

An unidentified woman narrowly escaped being lynched by some angry mob on Saturday after she lost control of her vehicle, crushing 8 persons to death, including a pregnant woman in Bariga area and along Ilaje road. She was said to be driving her Land Cruiser Sport Utility vehicle through the area.

Also crushed to death were two siblings, an old woman and a man returning from his place of work, while many others were said to have sustained severe injuries and were confirmed dead upon arrival at an undisclosed hospital in the State, Pulse reports. The unidentified woman was rescued and rushed to a private hospital by the Bariga Police Division after some angry mob had beaten her to pulp.
