Win gold for Nigeria again – Reps member charges Golden Eaglets

The lawmaker representing Ojo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Tajudeen Obasa, has charged the Golden Eaglets to repeat the triumph recorded in United Arab Emirates by bringing home the trophy in Chile.
The Golden Eaglets won the inaugural edition of the tournament in China and successfully won the trophy thrice after the feats recorded in the most populous country in 1985.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the lawmaker urged the Eaglets to abide by the spirit of patriotism and total commitment for them to put smiles on the faces of Nigerians by winning again.
His words: “I remember being a young chap visiting the National Stadium Surulere in Lagos, I was always filled with joy any time I see the Muslim crew in the supporters club singing the lovely song of “Amen, Jesus never fails”
“Football promotes peace and unity across the globe. In a country like ours, it is powerful, it is a symbol for national unity”
The Golden Eaglets will be up against their Mexican counterparts in the semifinal on Thursday after thrashing Brazil at the previous stage on Sunday.
