Wike vs Awara: PDP extends lead as winner of Ahoada West, Khana LGAs emerges

Governor Nyesom Wike has extended his lead in the March 9 governorship election in Rivers State as he has been declared winner in Ahoada West and Khana Local Government Areas.

In Ohoada West, Governor Wike of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, polled 18,572 to defeated his closest rival and candidate of the AAC, Biokpomabo Awara, who scored 10,186.

In Khana, the PDP scored a total of 104,089 to beat the AAC candidate who recorded AAC 1,493

Before now, the incumbent governor was leading in 17 of the 19 LGAs announced.

He now leads in 19 out of 21 LGAs announced
