Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has said he will enforce the recommendations of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry investigating his predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi.
Governor Wike said the state Government would not hesitate to take action according to the findings of the Commission.
The Governor stated this through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Opunabo Inko-Tariah while speaking to the media in Port Harcourt.
He said the resolutions of the Commission would also be made public, stressing that the panel was not set-up to witch-hunt anyone.
According to him, “I want to assure you that the outcome and findings of the Commission of Inquiry will be made public by the Rivers state Governor.
“If the findings demands that actions should be taken, of course the Governor will carry out more actions as prescribed by the Commission of Inquiry. I need to say it was not set up to witch-hunt anybody.”
The Commission headed by Justice George Omereji of the Rivers High Court is expected to conclude its assignment in the next one week. .
