Rivers State governor-elect, Nyesom Wike, has vowed to run an all- inclusive government on assumption of office.
Wike gave the assurance after receiving his certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Port Harcourt.
Wike said his administration will reach out to the needs of the entire Rivers people without bias, irrespective of party affiliation, adding that he will promote development in the state.
He said that despite the perceived plot of the APC to manipulate the mandate of the people through the judiciary, the PDP will never be intimidated.
He promised not to witch-hunt anybody in his administration, stressing that he will not use the time meant for the development of the state to witch-hunt his political opponents.
He said: “The people of Rivers State will never regret their support for the PDP during the elections.
“We assure PDP members in Rivers State that the intimidation tactics introduced by the outgoing administration through a phantom judicial commission of inquiry will fail. We shall continue to stand by our members”.
The governor-elect said that after May 29, the administration will commence development in full swing.
Earlier, INEC National Commissioner in charge of Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Rivers States, Mrs Thelma Iremiren, urged all elected officials to live up to the expectations of the people.
