The Department of State Services (DSS) has insisted it did not raid the headquarters of the National Pension Commission (PenCom), but only stationed some of its officers, to prevent further tampering with documents by some officials of the Commission.
According to The Tribune, the DSS received intelligence that some important documents were being doctored and backdated by some officials of the commision, following the change at the top.
On Thursday, President Muhammadu Buhari sacked Mrs Chinelo Anohu-Amazu as PenCom boss and replaced her with Aliyu Dikko.
“We had intelligence information that some documents are being tampered with.
“Some documents are being signed and backdated at the PenCom office following the announcement of a new management of the commission.
“We are only being pro-active by ordering all officials there to stop forthwith any action on official documents pending when the new management will assume duty,” a source said.
