The lawmaker representing Ovia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Dennis Idahosa, has said that the newly inaugurated 9th National Assembly would not be a rubber stamp.

Hon Idahosa said God designed the victory of the APC in the election of NASS top principal officers/leadership for the country to move forward irrespective of whatever has happened.

He spoke at a reception organised for him by members of his constituency to celebrate his inauguration as a federal lawmaker.

He expressed that the House of Representatives would work at a fast pace to meet the needs of Nigerians.

“There will be tremendous development because we have the executive and the legislature, we already have a fuse. There would be a harmonious relationship.

“We are not impressed with what happened in the past. The relationship between the Executive and Legislature will make things work smoothly. We will work for the interest of Nigerians.

“We are not going to be a rubber stamp. We will do what will uplift Nigerians no matter what.”
