The National Leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Thursday met with President Muhammadu Buhari, inside the Aso Presidential Villa, Abuja.
According to Buhari’s Special Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmaad, Tinubu visited the president to congratulate him on his victory in last Saturday’s general elections.
Ahmaad posted a picture of both men shaking hands and wrote: “Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is here at the State House to congratulate President @MBuhari. #BuhariHasWon”.
Buhari, who represented the APC in the poll, garnered 15,191,847 votes to defeat Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who had 11,262,978 votes.
Atiku has since rejected the results and will seek redress in court.
