A former Sokoto State Governor, Attahiru Bafarawa has declared that failure of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last 3 years was enough campaign for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to defeat the ruling party in 2019.
Bafarawa, a presidential aspirant, said this when he visited PDP officials in Anambra State on Wednesday in Awka.
On the chances of PDP winning next year’s presidential election, he expressed confidence that the coast was very clear.
Bafarawa, however, added that the party must take advantage of the misrule of the ruling party to market itself.
“The ruling All Progressives Congress has finished campaign for PDP in the last three years; all that is important is for the PDP to make good use of the opportunities provided by APC,” he said.
He said Igbo people, like another tribes, had all it takes to be president, but advised them to emulate the unity of purpose practiced by other tribes in politics.
