Henrikh Mkhitaryan will have to wait for his Arsenal debut, as he will be ineligible to face Chelsea in the second leg of their Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
Mkhitaryan who has completed his transfer from Manchester United, is cup-tied for the competition having featured for the Red Devils.
United were eliminated in the quarter-final stage by Bristol City.
The Armenia midielder will, however, be in contention for the Gunners’ Premier League clash against Swansea City on January 30.
However, if Arsenal complete the Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in time, he will be eligible to play against Chelsea at the Emirates.
The first leg ended 0-0 at Stamford Bridge.
The winner of the tie will face either Manchester City or Bristol in the final.
