Okocha said that ex- Germany goalkeeper does not like him even after 23 years of the humiliation he suffered in the hands of the former Eagles captain.
Eintracht Frankfurt’s Okocha had made a mince meat of the German legend who was in goal for Karlsruhe in a Bundesliga game in 1993.
Okocha told a press conference, “Kahn doesn’t like me, he has taken it personal. I was just doing my job, I didn’t have the intention to hold the ball too long but he was at the receiving end.
“I am grateful to God for that because people can still identify me with something in Germany.”
The former Bolton Wanderers captain said that early education he received in Germany helped shaped his career as a whole.
“Being the World Cup champions is not a fluke; their youth development programme is strong. I used to say that I got to Germany as a boy but I left as a man.
“I never knew they had the structure in term of discipline, education and lifestyle.”
