Why Igbo politicians are against Biafra – Zionists

The Biafra Zionists Federation, BZF, Thursday, lambasted Igbo politicians for sabotaging efforts towards the realization of Biafra.

Self acclaimed President of BZF, Barr. Benjamin Onwuka said this in a statement made available to journalists in Enugu.

While warning such politicians to retrace their steps, he said none of them had the capacity to truncate the Biafra project.

“We want to note with concern the attitude of politicians from the Biafra land who are doing everything to sabotage our efforts.

“Our observations show that they are doing so not because they don’t like Biafra, but because of their selfish motives.

“These category of people believe they cannot succeed outside the bread and butter they are getting from Abuja.

“We are not worried about these so-called Igbo leaders, they are comfortable in Nigeria, the poor masses are the ones suffering.

“We, therefore, caution them to exercise restraint to avoid attracting for themselves the wrath of the people when Biafra is achieved.”

While calling on other pro-Biafra agitators, including the IPOB and the MASSOB to collaborate with it, Onwuka said, “nothing will stop our planned declaration of Biafra on May 30 at the Enugu government house.

“Any effort by anyone, no matter how highly placed to truncate our event that day will fail because we have the US diplomatic assistance behind us.

He restated his earlier claims that the Southern Kaduna, part of the Middle Belt and the South-South was part of Biafra.

“People should not be saying that Biafra is for Igbo people. It is highly erroneous. Southern Kaduna people are Biafrans, the South-South people are Biafrans. This misconception should be corrected”, he said.

Onwuka equally called on the Federal Government to immediately order for the release of Cletus Ibeto, chairman of the Ibeto Group, who he said was being detained unjustly simply because he was protecting Igbo interest in the Nkalagu Cement.
