Belgium battered the senior national team of Gibraltar yesterday leading to striker, Christian Benteke scoring the fastest goal in FIFA World Cup qualifier, but goal keeper, Thibaut Courtois left the pitch ‘angry’ with his club teammate, Eden Hazard, for risking their clean sheet.
Courtois was left “angry” with Hazard, for showboating and risking his clean sheet in Belgium’s 6-0 demolishing of Gibraltar.
The Chelsea keeper was not pleased with Hazard who scored Belgium’s sixth goal, saying that his fellow Blue could have left the team exposed with his trickery.
He told reporters after the match, “I was angry with Eden Hazard because he tried a backheel in a part of the pitch where he shouldn’t have.
“I absolutely wanted to keep a clean sheet. I yelled so everyone understood that we had to stay sharp. We had little to gain here.
“We showed we respected our opponent. We have one-and-a-half more years to improve and be ready for the World Cup. ”
Belgium is top of Group H having gathered all nine points from three matches.
