Why I want Conte to win Premier League title – Claudio Ranieri

English Premier League champions, Leicester City’s manager, Claudio Ranieri, says he wants fellow Italian, Antonio Conte, to win the league title with leaders, Chelsea this season.

The 65-year-old former Chelsea boss, led the Foxes to a shock EPL title last season, but has struggled in the current campaign, lying 15th, 31 points behind his former club.

Ranieri told reporters, “As a former Chelsea coach and as an Italian supporter, I hope that Conte can achieve the goal.

“He has shown that the Italian school of coaches is valid more than ever.”

He has a long term contract with Leicester which keeps him at the club till 2020, but he accepts his future is not safe in spite of last season’s success.

He said, “I hope to remain in England.

“I’m good here.

“Even though in football one day you are in the stars and the next day [you are] in the dust, so never say never.”
