Niger State governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hannafi Sudan Muazu, has called for removal of Governor of Niger State, Abubakar Sani-Bello.
Sudan, addressing reporters after his official declaration and presentation of letter of intent to the party on Thursday, berated Governor Abubakar Sani-Belo for not performing due to lack of capacity and commitment to governance.
According to him, APC had failed in the state due to its performance which he noted cannot match that of the PDP.
He described the three years under Governor Bello as wasteful and disappointing.
He said: “The three years of the APC-led administration in Niger State has been wasteful; they thus should be voted out of power.
“The government lacks agenda for the people who elected them, and this is an indication of non-preparedness, experience and political will to provide dividends of democracy to the citizens.”
Speaking further on his governorship ambition, Muazu said that he was ready to uphold the zoning arrangement in the state, and was ready to spend just one term.
He called for unity of purpose to ensure victory for the party in the state that is currently experiencing hardship, deprivation and total failure of governance.
He urged delegates to be wise in selecting the candidate to bear the party’s flag.
