Ajax captain, Matthijs de Ligt’s transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, is set to fall apart, because of his request for a release clause.
PSG were among the favourites to land the Dutch centre-back this summer, who is also strongly linked with Barcelona and Juventus.
But RMC reports that the request of an €150million (£134m) exit clause could derail the deal.
The Ligue 1 champions are understandably not ready to make a big investment on De Ligt, if he can be purchased by another club for just £134m next season.
“When you’ve just arrived, to already be wanting things to leave, it’s not classy,” a PSG source said.
