Why Buhari is a liar – Jonathan’s ex-aide, Omokri

Reno Omokri, former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has launched another scathing attack on President Muhammadu Buhari.
Omokri, who was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential Campaign team, described President Buhari as a liar.
He stated this while reacting to a claim by the Federal Government that Nigeria was now self-sufficient in rice production.
However, reports had it that over 20 million bags of rice were still being smuggled into Nigeria despite Buhari’s ban on importation of rice.
Reacting, the former presidential aide described the policy of the President as fake one.
In a tweet, Omokri wrote: “No matter how far a lie travels, it must eventually be overtaken by truth. When @MBuhari said his government made Nigeria self sufficient in rice production, I said he lied.
“Now the truth is out, not from me or a politician, but from rice farmers themselves.”
