Uche Secondus, a former Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will lose the 2019 election.
The former PDP leader said APC will be defeated because it told Nigerians lies to win the presidency.
He said since the citizens have seen that the numerous promises were yet to be fulfilled, they would protest through their votes in 2019.
Secondus, who also alleged that APC started hate speeches ahead of the 2015 elections, stated that the party was now uncomfortable with similar pronouncements.
He further lamented the “use of security agents by APC to win elections”, warning that such will not be tolerated in 2019.
“In all civilised nations, security agencies are to protect lives and property. They don’t belong to any political party. This is what Nigerian security chiefs should know that they are not to show favouritism to APC, PDP or UPP”.
“They are not supposed to protect only one political party but it is unfortunate that this is what we have seen in previous elections; the security agents are working for APC but it will not work in 2019.
“Nigerians are now wiser and we are aware of the conspiracy but it will not work. APC should not set Nigeria on fire because Nigeria belongs to all of us.
“They are talking about hate speeches today but the truth is that APC started hate speeches in Nigeria in 2015. Today, they are not finding it comfortable for them and are crying wolf; they should stop this nonsense.
“Lai Mohammed and his co-travellers are getting on the nerves of this country. Everyday, they come out with lies and propaganda. I am advising them to stop propaganda and tell Nigerians the truth” he told Independent.
