Chelsea defender, Antonio Rudiger has been forced to withdraw from Germany’s squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures after suffering a groin injury.
Rudiger required immediate treatment following Chelsea’s routine victory over Southampton on Sunday.
The 25-year-old will now miss Germany’s Nations League clash against Holland and France, although he believes he will still be able to train during the international break.
“I won’t be available for Germany for the upcoming matches due to a groin problem,” he tweeted.
“I will do some individual training sessions during the int. break and I’m confident to be back soon.
“Best of luck to my German teammates for the next two games.”
