Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho will not face further FA sanctions after being sent off during Manchester United’s 1-0 win over Southampton on Saturday.
Mourinho was sent to the stands by referee Craig Pawson in almost at the end of the encounter at St Mary’s after being alerted by fourth official, Mike Jones that he had encroached onto the pitch.
According to ESPN FC, the FA has decided that the United’s gaffer will face no further punishment.
Mourinho said after the game, he did not know why he had been told to leave the touchline by Pawson but did admit to accidentally bumping into fourth official Jones.
Asked why he was sent off, “I don’t know,” Mourinho said. “Craig told me to leave and I left. I don’t know. He told me to leave, I left.”
