Real Madrid’s latest signing, Vinicius Junior has spoken of Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar as he was unveiled by the Spanish club yesterday
The 18-year-old, who’s now the most expensive Under-20 in the world, agreed terms with the La Liga giants back in 2017 but was only announced and unveiled by the club yesterday.
Vinicius made 37 league appearances for Flamengo this season, scoring seven times.
It is yet to be seen whether the youngster can emulate the recently departed Madrid legend, Cristiano Ronaldo.
But Vinicius admits he doesn’t look up to the Portuguese superstar.
“Neymar is my idol and I follow him closely,” he said.
“I have to work to stay in real Madrid
“I have a dream of playing together with Neymar.”
But the attacking midfielder did go on to praise Ronaldo, who recently moved to Juventus for £88m.
“But I wish him very good luck.
“Cristiano is a legend of Real Madrid but I’m very happy to be close to (Karim) Benzema or (Gareth) Bale,” he added.
