What Mourinho told Gareth Bale before pre-season friendly revealed

The conversation Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, had with Gareth Bale before Sunday’s friendly against Real Madrid, has been revealed.

Bale has been linked with a move to United this summer and Mourinho used the opportunity to tease the player about it.

This is according to Spanish television, who picked up Mourinho’s comments at the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

Mourinho waited at the mouth of the tunnel, where he greeted some Real Madrid players he coached during his time at the club. When Bale passes he embraces the £89million man and appears to say: “I can’t buy you because you don’t talk to me”.

The La Liga champions are reportedly not worried about losing the 28-year-old, as he had previously spoken about enjoying life in Spain.
