Loris Karius has sent out a message to Liverpool fans after signing a two-year loan deal to Besiktas.
The German goalkeeper leaves Anfield after two seasons in the wake of Liverpool’s signing of new keeper, Alisson Ramses Becker for £67million.
Upon arrival, Alisson went straight into Klopp’s starting XI and Karius decided it will be better for him to leave Liverpool in search of regular football.
Karius faced criticism for his performance during the 3-1 defeat to Real Mardid in last season’s Champions League final.
The German has now taken to his Instagram page, @Lorisk21, to thank Reds fans for their support.
“I’m proud to be part of the famous Besiktas family now,” he wrote.
“Your welcome at the airport yesterday was simply overwhelming.
“I will give it my all to win as many titles as possible with Besiktas.
“A big thank you goes out to all of the Liverpool fans for the support until now – you indeed never let me walk alone.”
Karius will make his loan deal permanent if he gets enough playtime for Besitkas and if the club qualify for European football.
