What Kwankwaso said about police raid on Edwin Clark’s home

Two-time governor of Kano state, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has reacted to the invasion of the residence of former Federal Commissioner for Information and South South Leader, Chief Edwin Clark by Police operatives.

DAILY POST had reported that Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, on Tuesday, raided the Abuja residence of the leader of Pan-Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, Edwin Clark.

However, Kwankwaso, who is a presidential aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, condemned the police raid on the abode of the 91-year-old elder statesman.

He described the raid as another episode in the recent catalogue of embarrassment under President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

Kwankwaso tweeted shortly after a visit to Chief Clark, ”The unlawful invasion of the residence of elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark by men of the Nigerian Police is another sad episode in the recent catalogue of embarrassment witnessed under the current administration.”

Earlier, Senator Shehu Sani had said that Chief Clark should be treated with respect by security agencies knowing the implications of such an action.
