Ibrahim Dankwambo, Governor of Gombe State on Wednesday described the All Progressives Congress, APC, as a sinking ship.

Dankwambo said this while reacting to the defection of about 15 senators of the APC on Tuesday to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Senator Rabiu Kwakwaso representing Kano Central at the Senate was among the PDP big wigs that moved from the PDP to the APC during the 2015 election.

Reacting to the development, Dankwambo took to his Twitter page welcoming the defecting senators, as well as the house of representatives into the party.

“I Welcome all the Senators and House Of Representatives Members who defected yesterday to our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party. It is time for others to jump off from the sinking ship,” he tweeted.

DAILY POST recalls that thirty-seven members of the House of Representatives formerly in the fold of the APC also dumped the party and moved to the PDP.
