The Governor of Gombe State, Ibrahim Dankwambo, has said President Muhammadu Buhari is jittery of the opposition ahead of the 2019 election.
Dankwambo said this in reaction to the alleged report that Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential aspirant, Rabiu Kwankwaso was prevented from using the Eagle Square to declare his presidential ambition.
DAILY POST had earlier reported that the Coalition of United Political Parties, CUPP, yesterday claimed that the federal government had ordered the Police to seal off the Eagle Square, ahead of Kwankwaso’s official declaration to run for presidency.
The Federal Government’s action had since received condemnations from politicians, especially those in the opposition.
Speaking on the development, Dankwambo, on his Twitter page, wrote: ” Denying my brother, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso the use of the Eagle Square shows the presidency are jittery of the opposition.”
