President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Amaju Pinnick, has refuted reports that Leicester City and Super Eagles winger, Ahmed Musa allegedly beat up his wife.

Ahmed Musa, was earlier arrested by British police for allegedly beating his wife.

Pinnick said Musa denied beating his wife when he contacted him about the incident saying his focus is on helping Nigeria qualify for Russia 2018.

He wrote on his twitter page @PinnickAmaju: “Read about the reports regarding Ahmed Musa and I got in touch with the player. He categorically denies them.

“Ahmed Musa is a family man and a gentleman as well. He says he is fully focused on helping Nigeria qualify for Russia 2018.

“I’ll stay in touch with Ahmed Musa and indeed, our Super Eagles players because they are not just footballers, but brothers and friends.”
