Arsene Wenger’s brother, Guy, has admitted that his situation is not looking good at the club.
Guy watched as the Gunners were thrashed 5-1 by Bayern Munich on Wednesday on television, in their home village of Duttlenheim in North-East of France.
The result led to fans calling for Wenger to leave and his 71-year-old brother says he feels sympathy for him.
“I feel sympathy for Arsene. The situation is not good for him,” he told Mirror Sport.
“But it is his problem, not mine.
“I was not in Munich for the match, I watched on television.
“I don’t know if Arsenal can come back now.”
Earlier on Friday, Wenger insisted he will still be managing next season , whether at the Emirates or elsewhere.
“No matter what happens, I will manage next season. Whether it is here or not, that is for sure,” he said.
“It is important for the club to make the right decision for the future. I did not work here for 20 years not to care.
“I had many opportunities to go somewhere else but I care for this club and its future. It is important for the club to be in safe hands.”
