Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has revealed that Pep Guardiola visited his house during his time as a player, because he wanted to play for the Gunners.
Wenger told beIN SPORTS that Guardiola could have played for the Premier League, after his time at Barcelona ended.
“I talked to him a few times, and once he came to my house when he was a player because he wanted to play for Arsenal,” Wenger said.
Guardiola eventually ended his playing career in 2006 and took over as manager of Barcelona in 2008.
The Spaniard won three straight league titles and two Champions Leagues, before leading Bayern Munich to three straight Bundesliga crowns.
Guardiola’s Manchester City side are 16 points clear at the top of the league and he will face Wenger in the Carabao Cup final this Sunday.
