Wenger names two coaches to win Premier League manager of the year

Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has named Pep Guardiola and Sean Dyche as the two standout choices to win the Premier League Manager of the Year award this season.

Guardiola has already guided Manchester City to the Premier League title with five games to spare.

Dyche on the other hand has exceeded expectations with Burnley, who currently sit seventh in the league and could even overtake Arsenal if they secure a win against Chelsea on Thursday evening.

Asked on BT Sports if Dyche should be considered as the league’s Manager of the Year, the Frenchman said, “He’s a contender, yes.”

On Guardiola, Wenger said, “I don’t know, Guardiola certainly, and Sean Dyche have been above everyone else.”

Wenger and his men are now focused on winning the Europa League having lost out of the Premier League top four.

They will have a crunch encounter with Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid in the semifinal next Thursday.
