Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has revealed that Sead Kolasinac wanted to play on, despite picking up a knock in their 2-1 win over Swansea on Saturday.
Kolasinac equalized for the Gunners, before setting up Aaron Ramsey to score what proved to be the winner at the Emirates.
However, he was forced off the pitch 10 minutes before the end, despite wanting to play on, and replaced by Rob Holding.
Speaking about the Bosnian’s injury, Wenger told Arsenal’s official website: “It’s a hip problem, a tight muscle in his hip.
“How long will he be out? I don’t know. We hope to get him fit for next Sunday.
“He had that before and we managed to get him always available.”
He added: “Yes, of course that’s what he wanted [to stay on the pitch]. I thought there was no need to take a gamble so I took him off.”
