We will work with Wike to maintain peace in Rivers – Coalition of 2015 Governorship Candidates

Some governorship candidates in last year’s election in Rivers state have assured the state governor, Chief Nyesom Wike of their readiness to work with him in order to sustain peace in the state.
The governorship candidate of United Progressive Party, UPP, Mr Parker Akuro, who also serves as the Chairman Coalition of Rivers State, 2015 Governorship Candidates, CORGC, who was flanked by four other governorship candidates in the last election, said that the peace of the state should be considered first before any personal interests.
He stated that the judgment of the Supreme court means that all candidates in the last governorship election should work for the peace, unity and development of the state.
While congratulating Wike on the apex court verdict, they also thanked him for extending a hand of fellowship to all governorship candidates in the last election.
In a related development, the state’s chapter of the Trade Union Congress, TUC, has felicitated with Governor Wike over the Supreme Court verdict that upheld his election.
